In light of the audience’s overwhelming appreciate for this literary novel following its initial performance during 2020, Vietnam National Opera and Ballet (VNOB) is pleased to bring back the musical Les Miserables with the intention of fostering the solidarity, love, and optimism for the future that perpetually exist in every human being.
VNOB version of Les Miserables portrays an epic tale of shattered dreams, unrequited romance, passion, sacrifice, along with forgiveness. This is a story that brings together the values of empathy between individuals from ordinary life into an exceptional work. Consequently, the limits of geography and time, as well as ethnic and cultural borders, have all been eliminated, exposing nothing but love among people. The audience will be part of an interpersonal portrait once the velvet curtain rises, where the town they call home, after several centuries of history, still retains wonderful human attributes.
