Trần Trang

Singer Tran Thi Trang, also known by her stage name Tran Trang Sao Mai, was born in 1986 and graduated with a master’s degree in Vocal Performance at Vietnam National Academy of Music.

In addition to performing, she was a lecturer in the Department of Vocal at the National University of Arts Education from 2014 to 2015 and later the Military University of Arts and Culture. From 2015 until now, she has worked at the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet.

In her career, she has achieved many achievements local and abroad. In 2013, she won the Third Prize of the Sao Mai National Television Singing Contest with the genre of Chamber music. In 2016, she successfully won the Silver Medal at the Pyongyang Spring Art Festival and was awarded a certificate of merit by the Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

She has starred in operas such as Micaela in “Carmen”, madam Ba in “Miss Sao” by Do Nhuan, Ms. Dao- youth volunteers in Do Hong Quan’s “Red Leaves”. She is a soloist in the Symphony Programs of the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet; invited singer with Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, Vietnam National Academy of Music with classical works from the world and Vietnam.

Not only succeeding as an opera singer, she is also a member of the Jury at the Sao Mai National Television Singing Contest 2017, Sao Mai Television Contest Nghe An 2015; Contest for the singing of journalists in Uncle Ho hometown 2015, Contest of the Voice of Nghe in 2017.

Tran Trang has been regularly appointed by VNOB and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to attend music festivals abroad such as: Pyongyang Spring Festival; Asian Music Festival in China 2017; Vietnam Cultural Week in Cambodia in 2018. In addition, she also participated in various programs, national ceremony event and performed serving people in remote areas of the country.

Phạm Thu Giang

Singer Pham Thu Giang was born in 1977, having a bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. Currently, she works at the chorus of Vietnam National Opera and Ballet.

In 1999, she reached the top 15 finals of the National Television Singing Festival in the Northern region.

She has participated in many roles in famous Opera including: Jonny in “The little sweep”, and the teacher in “Dreams and reality”, Miss Lan in “Red Leaves” … and many other concerts of the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet. In addition, she also went to rehearsal and performed in the opera “The Flying Holland” in Sweden 2007.

 

Thế Tùng Lâm

Singer The Tung Lam was born in 1989 and holds a bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance at Vietnam National Academy of Music. From 2016 to 2018, he was an actor at the Air Force Military Arts Theatre. From June 2018 until now, he has been working at the Chorus of the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet.

Tung Lam has won the Second Prize of the Sao Mai Contest in Bac Ninh in 2013 and 2015, reaching the final of the Sao Mai chamber auditorium in the Northern region of 2015.

During his years working at the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet, he has participated in many major art shows, most recently Rock Symphony. During the night, he performed two very famous songs of the band Queen, “Barcelona” and “Who want to live forever”.

Trần Đăng Dũng

Singer Tran Dang Dung was born in 1977. He has a bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance at the Vietnam National Academy of Music.

Đinh Thu Hương

Pianist Dinh Thu Huong was born in 1976. She graduated with a master’s degree in Piano from Vietnam National Academy of Music.

From 2001 until now, she is a pianist at Vietnam National Opera and Ballet. In the process of working here, she has performed in all major programs, including: Ballet “Nutcracker”, Ballet “Swan lake”, Opera “Carmen”, Opera “Cosi fan tutte”…

In addition to performing, she also teaches Piano at the Yamaha Music Foundation and the National University of Arts Education.

In the past time, Thu Huong participated in many performances and achieved some success. In 2007, she participated in the Youth Art Exchange in the United States. She also performed with US artist Anne Chamberlain in the 4-Piano program with 2 works: Seasonal Switch and Fall Melody. Besides, she participated in many plays and other arts programs such as 40th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Southern region; “The carnival of the animals” (Saint Saens); “The Little Sweep” (Benjamin Britten)

Nguyễn Thu Quỳnh

Singer Nguyen Thu Quynh was born in 1984, mezzo soprano. She graduated from the Vietnam National Academy of Music, majoring in vocal performance, and is currently Soloist in Mezzo Soprano of Vietnam National Opera and Ballet.

She has participated in works such as Verdi’s “Requiem”, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, played Dorabella in Mozart’s “Cosi fan tutte”, “Carmen” in the opera of the same name by Bizet, and Eng in the “Miss Sao” composed by Do Nhuan, Mai in “Red Leaves” composed by Do Hong Quan and participated in many other concerts.

 

Vũ Thị Nga

Singer Vu Thi Nga was born in 1980 and graduated with a Bachelor of Vocal Performance at the Vietnam National Academy of Music.

During her work at the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet, she has participated in many roles in famous Opera, including: Mothers in “Dreams and Reality”, Ms. Vân in “Miss Sao”, Ms. Nhu in “Red Leaves”

Nguyễn Kiều Thẩm

Image may contain: 3 peopleSinger Nguyen Kieu Tham was born in 1979. He graduated from the vocal department in 2008 and continued to complete the choir conductor degree at the Vietnam National Academy of Music in 2017. He worked at the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet from 1999 until now.

He has starred (soloist) in many famous musicals such as Cosi fan tutte, Miss Sao, Symphony No. 9, Carmen, Ly Cong Uan command to move the capital, Kieu and participated in performing abroad with the opera The flying Holland 2007 in Sweden.

Not only succeeding as an artist, Kieu Tham is also an experienced choir teacher with more than 20 years. He currently teaches choir at many art centers such as Hanoi University of Art and Education, Vietnam National Academy of Music Training Center.

Phạm Thị Hương

Singer Pham Thi Huong (stage named as Thu Huong) was born in 1981. She graduated in vocal performance at Vietnam National Academy of Music. Since 1997, she has studied and worked at the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet. She is the voice of Soprano in the Chorus.

Thu Huong has played many roles in famous Vietnamese and international operas, including Loan in “Blog Opera: Dreams and Reality”, Fraquita in “Carmen” (G. Bizet), Tien Dung in the opera (Oratorio) “Hoa Lu – Thang Long: moving capital song” (Doan Nho), … In addition, she also participated in other Opera plays such as “Miss Sao” and” Sculptor”(Do Nhuan), “Red Leaves” (Do Hong Quan), …

In addition to performing in Opera, she has also toured and participated in cultural programs in many countries such as Russia, Laos, Cambodia, India, … Every year, she also actively participates in program of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to serve the people and soldiers in remote areas.

In 2019, Thu Huong was awarded the campaign medal for the cause of Culture, Sports and Tourism by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Đào Tố Loan

Singer Dao To Loan is a prominent soprano vocalist of the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet, and is also one of the most famous Opera artists in Vietnam recently. Not only shining with classical Western music, she has shown many traditional Vietnamese music works and her own songs in many Vietnamese and international art shows.

To Loan has been studying vocal since 2006 and was awarded a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from Vietnam National Academy of Music in 2014. Here, she pursued the Opera subject under the direction led by Assoc. Prof. Tran Thi Ngoc Lan and Norwegian classical professor Siri Torjesen.

In 2012, she received a scholarship from the Goethe Institute in Hanoi to study in Bonn and Frankfurt, Germany and study here for 5 months. In the summer of 2014, she received a scholarship from Transpose to attend the Lidal North Opera Workshop in Oslo, Norway. She then returned to Vietnam and graduated with a master’s degree in Vocal Performance in 2016. In 2017, she received a 9-month scholarship in Austria.

In the process of pursuing a music career, To Loan has achieved many achievements domestically and internationally. In 2011, she won the First Prize of the Sao Mai Contest, one of the most famous national vocal contests in Vietnam. In 2014, she won both first prizes at the Lidal North Opera Workshop in Oslo. In 2018, she continued to conquer the first prize of the Southeast Asia Opera Contest 2018 in Singapore. And recently, in 2019, she was awarded a Gold Medal at the green path 9 Singing Festival, and a Gold Medal for Professional Competition 2019 and won the Second Prize of the Vietnam Opera Contest 2019,

From 2016 until now, To Loan is a soloist singer at Vietnam National Opera and Ballet. In addition, she also performs as a guest artist with many local and international orchestras. She has made several recordings with her own music, released in Vietnam and appeared regularly on national television.

During her career at the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet, she succeeded with many leading roles in famous operas such as “Miss Sao” (Do Nhuan), “Red Leaves” (Do Hong Quan), “Sculptor” (Do Nhuan), … At the same time, she is also a soloist singer in major concerts of VNOB such as “Around the world”, “Rock Symphony”, …
