Synopsis:
The Dong Ho (Give and Receive) ballet constructed by a series of paintings such as “Picking Coconuts”; “The Marriage of the Mouse”; “Fighting between Love Rivals”; “Glory to the Ancestors”; “Ly Ngu Vong Nguyet” is illustrated by the scenes of classical ballet. The uniqueness of this ballet is the perfect combination of Vietnam traditional painting and world classical and contemporary art.
The ballet takes the viewer to a simple sophistication conveyed in an abstract and insightful way. The message “Dong Ho” (Give and Receive) that runs through the product is the human values of Vietnamese culture.
In addition, Dong Ho skillfully blends cultural images and quintessential Vietnamese culture with world academic music through “New Four Seasons” – a symphony created by contemporary composer Max Richter, which is inspired by the original masterpiece by Antonio Vivaldi – one of the world’s greatest baroque composers.
